Professor Polyp's Bubble Bath Coral Dip solution. I keep seeing this ad pop-up all over the place. Wanted to know if anyone had experience or use this stuff is it really worth it? Or just do a regular hydrogen peroxide bath for dipping?

I prefer coralRX as peroxide is an oxidizer and not tally effective as a dip and bubble bath is fairly new to me leaving me thus far skeptical to use it

I don't know anything about the good Professor's Bubble Bath, but I think that popular coral dips include hydrogen peroxide largely for algae control. For coral pest control, those in the know are now using potassium chloride or KCL, but other popular choices include CoralRx, Two Little Fishies Revive, Bayer Insecticide (<may have human health concerns) and a home brew called Kung Fu Coral dip or KFC, which I personally have no knowledge of. Many will also use iodine for some corals like torches. I have always used hydrogen peroxide, CoralRx and Revive, but I'm going to start to use potassium chloride.

Hydrogen peroxide guide:

KFC info:

Bayer Insecticide info:

Good luck!

I first picked up some of this dip at RAP Cali in 2023, and have since purchased more. I had both bubble algea and briopsis and was having no luck getting rid of it. I put a huge piece of my rock in the dip for 1 minute, then rinsed it with tank water from a water change, then put the rock back in. The rock had sps, torches, mushrooms and zoas on it. The coral looked mad on the first day. But by a week later all the algae was gone and i didn’t lose any of the coral. I highly recommend this dip! I have some videos of using it on my instagram: jmc_reef
