This sounds like the premise of a new Pixar movie Finding Nemo 3: Finding… LoveWhile that is true, with these two fish endemic to opposite sides of the world, it wouldn't happen in this case.
That fish is just ugly.
Now if it grows to have a deep purple body with yellow fins, that's cool. But this fish just looks like a super pale purple tang.

+1 to this, IMHO captive bred hybrids are worse than the pure breeds as 1. It’s unnatural and 2. As adults they become so ugly in most and many cases.Meh, Some things weren’t meant to be cross bred. Prefer the OG for both.
