@revhtree I'm thinking a beta test by making it kinda like the lounge, I just know there's a lot of people here who have fresh water and many more that moved on to salt only but have a wealth of knowledge

what about the lakes...i loved my Tangynikans and Victorians
I used to have mbuna... chindongo saulosi. But it was more for a play on words with it also being R2R lol

I also love my Tangynikans

Unsalted Reef?

I was against it before I was for it.”

Topoff water 2 Topoff water? Say it ain’t so.

Better add some fresh tears to clear the air

This was Jerry. Nimbochromis fusco. Loved this guy. He ended up going on to live the rest of his life at a city aquarium.

I have a freshwater planted tank it was small was doing well till I noticed the seems starting to go. Now it's in a 3 gallon setup. Saw someone here is on the planted tank forum lol. You can see my stuff there still but I got banned. The moderator there seemed to not like my rebuttals and twisted what I said to a hilarious degree. Making it sound like I said oceans are smaller than our aquariums. It's a pretty entertaining read.

On that note freshwater I think could be successful as well on here.

This is why wife swapping and phone swapping should be illegal?

I have lost a few friends contacts and lots of pictures from electronic storage devices.

I lost all my previous reef life pics between a computer melt down and photobucket holding my pics hostage and water marking my stuff with their logo. Photobucket wanted 49.99/year for me to access my pics. I dont negotiate with terrorists.

I currently have 8 freshwater tanks and a 300g pond (total about 900g) in my fish room so I wouldnt mind a freshwater sub forum. I am slowly getting rid of most of the freshwater though.

When I think about stuff like this I want to get back into computer coding and pay the terrorists back with something they are familiar with. I have to stay clear cause I don't want to move to Switzerland.

Here was the same tank used for reefing first. I was worried about seem and didn't want to reuse. Health and things were really bad at that point so no time to take care of with COVID and all.

That was a beautiful Wilsoni. Covid killed a lot of good things, imo.

I'm going to be a little downer and maybe a bit pompous here but .....

We are the pinnacle of the aquarium hobby. Having FW tanks all my life from goldfish, to native species I caught in the creek and even a large mouth bass there is really no comparison. I had a FW tank with literally 85 different fish in it. It's "too" easy.

The only things I can think of for discussion for R2R members would be fish compatibility and maybe C02 dosing?

Sorry but ... not.

Actually the same things as saltwater. Such as kh and gh and the acidity as well as other parameters. Lighting. What does each type of plant require. Feeding and propagating plants. Adding CO2 and other gasses. Types of diseases and identification. Then you have aquascaping and the different techniques used. How to properly cut and plant items. The make up of different rocks or decorations and how they effect the water including substrate. There is a ton of things that can be discussed.

I think you brought up in an odd way a perfect reason to have one, so others know there is more to it.

Not a pompous statement or comment. We need these types of statements in order to expound on them and have that conversation. This is what the hobbies are about.
