Radion Gen 2 whites

Curious as to why the whites on the gen 2 is always recommended not to go past 15%? Are they really that harsh or do we over react?

I think it may be a bit of anecdotal exaggeration. The new G3s have 5watt whites, but quite a few fixtures use the same 3watt Cree whites in the other models.

Also, may have something to do with the relatively low radiation from the blues at higher intensity and people not ramping up on lower kelvin temps. Proabbly abusing some terminology, but not my field of expertise.
