Which one would work best for a 60 gallon mixed reef(not set up yet, just thinking ahead) The kessils are slightly less expensive, but i don't know if it would be worth it to pay a little bit extra for the radion. Which one do you guys like best?

I've had both the kessil A360we and radion XR30 pro. I really liked the shimmer of the kessil but like the overall look of the tank under the radions.

Never had the kessil, but my vote would be the Radion.
I've been using Radions for about 2-1/2 years and love em.

What's the footprint of your tank? That would be a determining factor. I want to say a radion pro's coverage is 24x24. If your going with kessil the ap700 covers I think 36x24. Radion will penatrat deeper. Good luck

Wow...why 3? One would probably be sufficient.
EBay package deal for 2 radions. Couldn't pass it up. Had this idea of a 60" tank but my apartment only allows for me to upgrade my ~ 24"x24" space for now. And my current biocube came with the kessil.

I like both.

Have both vote Radion. Way more control than with Kessil Plus a more power so you can adjust the intensity better of the light.

I have 1 radion with wide angle lenses 8 inches above water at 80% of 14k and works perfect

I have a 360 over my 24"x24" cube. Overall I like it quite a bit. I do wish I had some more control over it but that's me being picky.

If you go radion look at the wide angle lenses
I have no shadows or dark spots and have a lot of branching rock high in the tank
You loose a lot of par with wide angle lenses but the high intensity they put out you can easily raise the intensity up
My tank is 24x24 and 30 deep and at 80% I have 210 par at bottom
Without wide angle lenses I felt like the tank had hot spots and burn coral easily but I'm only 8 inches off water so light is in canopy

I'm so confused :(
The op asked what was best for his tank. The answer is, for the most part, there really isn't any best for everybody.
Everyone has idea's how they want there tank to look and how they want the equipment to function.

All you can do is research the product as best as possible for quality, try and see in person the product, then make sure the functions of the product will work for you.

Just buy one of them and try it out. You see tons of Kessil and Radions in the For sale section. People change lighting like the do their mind.:)

There's also the aesthetic choice too. For me I'd rather never see a light fixture. A Kessil is so small it doesn't detract so much from the look I want. Certainly personal preference there.

I've never owned either, but everything I've read from hobbyists say that kessil doesn't support sps growth enough for the price tag. Have you checked Mike Herman for pricing on his sb line of black boxes. Custom layout, and spec, true uv, and at a fraction of the price of either. I just ordered myself one.
