Feedback on radion xr15 light diffusers

good-bad-made a difference

im thinking i wont notice a difference

180g mixed reef lps/soft with 3 on tank

if they go on did you raise intensity

looking for feedback as debating if purchasing for lights

Depends if you are seeing color separation in the shimmer lines and if it bothers you. That is really all they are for and they drop par about 20 percent. I use em because seeing the red shimmer lines looked terrible in my tank.

Are they g5 lights I have them on my g5 I like them I use them so when I sit down n couch the leds don’t hurt my eyes.i used a par meter I lost around 10 to 15 par.so if without diffuser say I was 250 with diffuser it was around 235

Like above I use them for the sole reason that it allows me to sit in the same room with my tanks. To me the only downside to the light is they are not recessed at all. I have 3d printed shades as well and don't even need them with the diffusers. The new Neptune light has a built in diffuser. I wouldn't worry about par drop. I run mine ab+ at 65% on a 625xxl 5ft. with sps/lps. Only have 2 but with the reefbrite add on kit.

Without diffuser i see pixelization (very tiny abrasive shimmerlines in different colors), with diffuser not.
Coming from a light with perfect color blending (Kessil), a diffuser is mandatory.

By the way, being blinded less with a diffuser sitting on the couch is not what i experience, on the contrary. It's getting much worse!

I was fine without them but bought them so our 7 month old wasn’t staring directly at the LEDs when she’s looking at the tank. I do like them though since it does reduce the light separation and the small amount of shimmer these lights produce looks more natural with the diffusers.
