reactors: 2littlefishes or BRS?

I plan on running GFO & Carbon in a reactor once I get my new tank set up. My question is which do you prefer between two little fishes and the BRS reactors? I want two single reactors for more flow control (going to work it into the plumbing), and since they're the same price which do you prefer and why? Thanks!

For most systems the TLF reactors are better. For one its easier to see your media and has a better flow pattern for fluidization and another is you don't need a huge reactor. You only need 10 grams or 1 tablespoon of GFO for every 10 gallons of tank water so a huge reactor is not advised, the TLF will fit up to a 200 gallion tank easily yet still be small enough for a 20 gallon tank.

I use 2 of the TLF. I like they r small enough to keep in the sump so if a seal fails then the leak is contained.

I like the fact that the TLF reactor is smaller and doesn't take up much space and it does a great job with gfo and carbon. I have a avast reactor for my biopellets and it is great, it's bilt like a tank and much cheaper than comparable units and does a great job with the biopellets.

sure if you like one with a flimsy lid that warps and needs to be overtightened so it doesnt leak.

get an avast you cant go wrong

i love my tlf reactors very cheap and simple.... mine are in the sump just in case but i have ran them for 3 yrs without a single leak.... normally i would build my own but these are priced right so no reason to...

+1.... I run two of the TLF reactors and love them cause they are cheap. If u break one it's usually about $39 to replace it.

I ran a thread similar to this, and many votes went for the BRS (course, I'm planning a much larger tank- 300+ gallons).

I currently have TLF reactors (used for carbon and phosphate), and have no real issues except that it seems just "okay" as far as quality goes.

I'll throw another one out there for people to comment on... what about GEO reactors? Any experiences on those?
