I have had a red goni for about 8 months now. It has always extented far for its size which a little bigger then a quarter. It hasn't opened in the last days or so as the title states.

Ammonia - 0
Ph - 7.8
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 5 ppm
Phosphate - 0.05
Alk - 9.5
Mag - 1300 ish

Over the last month my nitrate and phosphate bottomed out and I started to get a bit of dino. I am aerating the water, havent done a water change in about 3 weeks and started dosing fish of hex nitrate and phisphate to get the number stated above.

There is no dino on or around the goni. It still has its pinkish red color and hasn't started to recede or anything like that. Any ideas or suggestions on what to do? Should I just try doing a water change. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Try directly dosing aminos. once a day. I've had similar issues with gonis but have been able to nurse them all back to health. Post a pic of the piece!

I dose SeaChem Reef Plus which is concentrated vitamins and amino acids. Is that good? It says concentrated so i only dose it once a week 15 ml. I have a 60g
