Reef Central banning now for not pm'n mods...

So I put a serious post up today in the lounge over at RC. One of the first replies that was there was one from a mod, BrianD, and it was a very childish, non constructive reply. I figured I'd get more responses like that knowing the way they all stick together over there, so I pushed the little button saying "report thread" and I simply asked them to delete my post so that it wasn't a flame thread. Of course that message goes to the mod that made the smart remark in my thread. He didn't delete the thread. Instead he put yet another smart reply in there trying to provoke me, and he pm'd me saying I needed to pm or email him "ASAP." I figured I'd be the adult and just let it go. Well I get an email on my iPhone and this is what it said.

"Evidently you saw fit to delete my private message and not respond to my email. Your account on Reef Central has been deactivated until I get a response.

Can you believe this? I never post anything wrong, offensive, or anything in that matter. Is not replying to a mod's PM a bannable offense now? Furthermore, how did he know I deleted the PM? Did he log into my account and see that I deleted it? This amazes me. I demanded he tell me who the "head mod" is over there, it will be interesting to see what is said...

I just read the thread. I see no reason for you to get banned. That BrianD is full of class though....

Some of the mod's at R/C are fair and consistant. He's not one of them at all. Follow him through the years and you'll see. I saw how he was your reply and thread buster. Typical R/C. If it doesn't work out you'll enjoy it here.

I know I can't believe it. I will keep the post updated to let you know what they say. If they ever email me back that is. Either way, I like it better here already! I've been a member here for a while, but mostly just a lurker.

He banned me for telling some one that I don't pull fish out of my dt and put in qt BC I lose them every time I even said I know its not the politicaly correct way but works for me yup that got me a 8 month ban

I got banned for sharing a picture of my new torch i brought. No warnings or nothing they just deactivate my account and pretty much told me to take a hike.

I got banned a LONG time ago and it was for being honest about products. Unfortunately those products were being sold by sponsors paying 500bux per month at RC. So i was banned. Then after I was banned i received hate mail from a few of the RC mods so its not just a bad apple. Its the apple tree :bigsmile:

And I'm not bashing RC at all, I can still read the forums, I just can't post in them. And he's right, I will fit in because I like it here better already. :)
