Reef factory dosing pump pro difficulty’s.

I have had this pump for some months now and I had no problems with it until a bit ago when it stopped pulling liquid. I opened it up and found that the orange spinning things were broken on the bottom of them. Could this be the reason that it stopped pulling water? Can I super glue them to fix them?

Those are definitely why it stopped pulling, those are connected to that base and squeeze the tube as it spins.
I'm not seeing any direct replacements of that particular part. Looks like new heads are around $60. I don't think super glue would hold well, you could try weldon etc. but even then id be concerned.

I’d like to add that I’ve had the same issue. I’ve had my Reef Factory Dosing Pump Pro X4 for under one year and one of the heads made an awful noise one day and found it had broken into pieces similar to yours. I searched online for a new head and couldn’t find one. I sent a message to Reef Factory and a little back and forth and he said they are hard to get and not even available in the USA. He shipped me a new head from Poland which was great and told me that BRS placed an order for some to arrive in April 2025. A more recent online search shows them available in Europe but with three options and they all look the same, but are not.
Head L = large dosing pump CR/ ATO
Head M = dosing pump pro
Head S = no idea what this is for…. Smart tester?

I received head M and it fit my dosing pump perfectly. I just hope these heads are affordable because they seem to break quite easily. I already hear another head about to break. Overall I love the look of this doser and how slow it dispenses, but if the heads are expensive, I may go back to their regular doser that has replacement heads that are only $20.

Thank you for sharing your experience it was very helpful. I wish they sold them already but April is good news. The glue did not work. I wish they wouldn’t break so easily. Thank you so much for your time and information. I have just been manually dosing for a while now and I can’t wait to finally get my dose back up and running.

I tried super glue too! It lasted just a few hours then it broke again. I’m thinking about using tiny screws from the backside perhaps with some superglue. Will attach pics if successful. Good luck!

UPDATE!!

So far, so good with the fix I performed using tiny screws.
Here’s what I did. I bought some assorted laptop screws off Amazon. Note that they countersink so they screw in flush with the plastic back. I did need to use a Dremel with a grinding tip to make the countersink. I then found the perfect sized screws - M2.5 * 8. It’s very snug. I figured out which of the 3 posts lined up where they broke off and used the included screw driver to start putting this back together. About 1/2 way, I needed to use a vise grip to continue to tighten the screw all the way down. I can’t believe how solid this feels. Once all three posts are done, I applied some lubricant and slid the rollers on making sure the right side is up. I’d then put the gray cap on and put the unit together and snapped it on the doser. I tested it and it works great, sounds normal. It’s been dosing intermittently all day. Took me about 20 minutes to do this today.

I tried it after finally getting the screws in and my inferior craftsman ship failed me. The orange disk snapped in half… How has your experience with it been so far?

Oh no,,, so sorry. Mine are all holding up actually. It was a bit delicate to do this and I’m sorry the disc broke in half. BRS is suppose to have them this month so we will see. I was about to order 4 from here:
