Does anyone have the Reef Factory Smart Roller M
I'm looking at the Reef Factory Smart Roller M
And need the base dimension with the elbow
to see if it will fit my sump space
Thanks

Got the roller today. The base + the elbow is exactly 12 inches. That is the distance you'll need to be able to fit

Thank you. I’m limited to 11.5”. I’m may have to go with BM medium or rearrange my sump

Just curious, what's everyones settings on the smart roller medium? I currently have mine set up for 3cm movement and 5 min wait time. I was wondering on doing some trial and error on those settings to see how it changes roll usage and nutrients. Maybe a longer wait time will yield more nutrients? With the possibility of longer time on rolls?

Here's my settings. I use the longer wait time because turning my return pump off during feeding time causes the water level to rise thus triggering the roller's sensor.

I feed rather heavy and looks like I'll get close to 3 months out of a roll.

What about the swing door for the overflow? What percentage do you have that opened? Also with the setting of 30 min have you seen any nutrient side effects?

I barely have it cracked open. I should probably look into it closer, but it works great the way it is now and knowing my luck I'd only screw it up

As far as nutrients, I feed relatively heavy and I'm noticing a slow decline (although my levels were high to begin with).

Before the roller, no3 was 55 and po4 0.15.
I've since added several fish and I feed even heavier
One month later my no3 is 40 and po4 .1
