Reef safe ich treatments

Welcome to R2R!!! As far as I know their are no direct treatments that are reef safe, usually we recommend pulling the fish out and outing them in a QT tank.

There are no reef safe, effective treatments for ich.

There are some things, mentioned above, that can help your fish cope with the parasite if you choose to keep ich in your tank.

Welcome Aboard...going fallow (no fish) for 76 days is only one I know. Corals/Inverts can stay. Look up 'fallow periods'...lots of information on here.

The only thing that will kill ich is copper which is not reef safe. Although all hope isn’t lost, with good husbandry and proper feedings you’ll build up the fishes immune system (if it’s not already too far gone) so it can fight the ich off. Also I highly recommend feeding New Life Spectrum Thera A along with NLS Ick Shield. Both are superb quality foods and you won’t be disappointed. Our fishes diet and what we feed is most important to their survival, feeding the correct foods will go a tremendous way in the fishes health along with proper water conditions as well of course. Great advice above....at this point it's really up to you weather you want to work at killing and riding your system of ich or managing your system......???..????
