Hey reerfers,

I am going to reefapaloza NY June 25 or the 26. My question is which day is better? The first day Saturday or the second day Sunday. I am thinking Sunday because prices will be better since no one wants to bring corals back to their store. I'm just worried it's going to be empty on Sunday and I'll be so mad. So anyone who has been to reefapaloza share please! Thanks guys.

I plan on going through Saturday and picking anything I may think is a must have (ok everything is) then I'll stop by Sunday to try to find any deals!

If you can do both days this would be your best bet. It's a great show.

Go both days.
Saturdays you find the cool stuff
Sundays you get the deals

I just went to reefaplooza in Orlando on Sunday and it was busy. I would also say the deals would be better on Sunday because I could see the prices crossed off and lowered as the time went on.

Never been, but I've got my mind set on going Sunday.

('Cause I'm working on Saturday . . . )

I'll hunt the elusive deal, but since my tank is so close to "full", I'm mostly going for learning and atmosphere.

both days are great, raffles each day, or course tons of corals... but don't forget there are a handful of speakers sharing their knowledge as well. idc who you are, you can always learn something new, especially in this hobby!

Sort of like get there at the opening of the show if you are looking for certain corals as they will not be there too long. It's like going to the LFS on the day the their shipment comes in. You get first choice.:)

Cheers,

When you buy a frag, do they ship it for you? Or do you take it with you and hope for the best?

I'm sure most folks will carry their frags home - I know I will - but then again, I live just a couple of hours from the venue, and that's an easier trip than a shipper's likely to provide.

You'd have to ask individual vendors about shipping, I'd think.
