Do the Reefbrite LED's actually change the visiual color along halides. In other words, do they actually work as t5 sup. If you have any photo's could you please post :) thank you

I dont have any pics but my friend has one on a duel 150w Sun Pod and it gives the MH a blue hue. Not over powering but you can notice a difference.

I've used the reefbrite as supplement alongside with metal halides, and there is a difference with color, not overpowering though.
Its a great light.

You should really get 2 ...because they don't have a good spread..look at my eyecandy thread, my tank has been ran off of 5 bars of reef bright since the first wave they ever shipped out...2 blue, 1 50/50....and 2 white.

The tank has changed since this was taken, but it works to get an idea...I think this was taken with 2 blue 48" reef bright bars...

I think one will be plenty. I run the 36" all blue on my 65 gallon and you can tell the difference. I'm running it with a 6 bulb T5 fixture. I have a video on youtube. Look up Brock7979 and it is the HD video. The reefbrite is the 3rd color change in lights and is on by itself at that point. It covers the entire tank pretty much.

Well it also depends on how wide his tank is cause they dont have a good spread, and what MH he is running...anything over 150w I think 2 would be best, but one would work better then nothing....he also said it's a 120 so I am guessing his tank is 24' wide , and one 48" strip is not going to cover that tank, and no way will it cover it over a pair of 250's MH's...

I run 2 - 250 Radiums on electronic Icecaps over my 4' x 2' x 2' 120 with a single blue reefbrite for actinics and I love it. IMO, adding another Reefbrite would be too much blue with the radiums.

My tank is 36" L and 18"w by 24" tall, it covers the entire tank.

I have a 4' reefbrite bar over my 3' wide frag tank and it's enough spread.
enough spread for what exactly? I highly doubt reebrites are your sole source of lighting so it may very well be enough spread, for what you need.. It seems you are just trying to contradict what Reefer831 has experienced.

I have one blue reefbrite 72" now on my 72x30x24" tank. The one strip punches though my 3x250w radiums. One strip seems to give enough spread to my tank. I was able to not use 8x39w T5HO with one of the reefbrite strips.

I agree 1 reef bright bar will help if your looking to just add a lil pop, but if your some one like me who really likes that blue led look I would say go with two...I see a huge difference when the second bar turns on....it's night and day...when 1 bar is on the tank looks supper dim and only half of the tank is lit up, and that's on a 12 inch wide tank lol, when the second bar turns on it looks great. Reef Brights don't have a good spread even though they have reflectors, they are more of a directional light. I can tell you this because I have grown all my coral under them since they came out and watched how my corals have responded to them..some good some bad. Dont take me wrong one bar will work fine, I just like the look of 2...my 120 I am building right now will have two 250 MH's. with t5's and 2 blue reef bright bars.

Check out the T5/reef brite combo light from reefstock 2011 on reef builders, IMO the best lighting at the show.
