Hey guys,

Looking for some advice as im new to the hobby im looking to use my ReedLED 50 for the firs time as was wondering whats the best settings for soft corals and LPS corals ? I have head people say it has strong lights and to stay below 50% on the blues . Also can someone explain which to setting to select from the options of 10000k to 20000k ? I have a nano tank 25 gallons

You can set the color to what you find visually pleasing.
As far as intensity, I'd start on the lower side and observe your corals. You can slowly ramp up the intensity if needed. Also, are you able to borrow a PAR meter? I've seen some posts on here about that light, I'll see if I can dig some up for you.

I got the LED 50 here’s my schedule

I agree with Rocks comment tho. Start low and ramp up.

With the Redsea lights, PAR isn't the measurement in my experience. It's going to look a bit dimmer than most LED lights out there. The only thing needed is the visual look. They will grow corals nicely and I was shamed by a nice tank out here in LA that just runs LED90s.

I agree 100%. I've been thinking about switching lights to an AI prime. Not that I haven't had success with the RS LED 50. I feel I can have better growth and more of the look I want with another light.

You could just add a couple of AI Blades glow or grow (maybe glow in your case). I've had success with that before I did my upgrade.

I'll check them out, thanks for the suggestion!

I'm reading that as well in some of these older threads. I may tone blues down a bit.
Those are presets I believe. I made a custom adjustments to my schedule.

The higher the kelvin, the more blue the light is. Growth is subjective when it comes to the kelvin and that's a huge debate I do not want to get into. So just stick with what looks good for you colorwise. 10k is more halide look. 20K is more blue LED look.
