Hi guys,
My name is Ricardo Prata and I am from Lisbon, Portugal (EU). I have recently started a Shallow Cube Reef, it’s my 3rd aquarium over the last ten years and the first cube I own, and I just like to share with you guys some details of my project. Hope you enjoy.
Setup Date: 04/12/2015
Aquarium :
- Tank: 97cm (38,1 in) x 87cm ( 34,2 in) x 45 cm (17,7 in)
- Total volume = 300L (80 gallon) + 60L (15 gallon) for the sump
- Rimless low iron-glass 12mm or 1/2in
- Sump: 75 (29,5 in) x 40cm (15,7) x 40cm (15,7 in)
Circulation:
- Return pump: Jebao DC 3000 (fully controllable, uber silent pump).
- Power heads: VorTech-mp40w (at the time)
Lightning:
5 x Kessil- 4 x a360w +1 x a350w
Skimmer:
ATI PowerCone 250I - Equipped with a DC 4000, electronic adjustable pump. It’s a modified model because originally it didn’t came with the DC pump.
AQUA MEDIC- Heat controller duo + 2 x eheim 200 w
Calcium/Kh supplementation:
- Randy's 2-part solution through a pacific sun- Kore 5th Dosing Pump (w/ “5-channel")
