Looking through some old pics the other day, and came across this pic of my first live rock lol.... I remember staring at this thing for hours and just thought it was the coolest thing ever when I bought it.... Watching the feather dusters, pods, critters etc.... Did anyone else have that adventure???? I remember paying 80$ for that thing and just thought it was the best thing ever in my tank lol....;)

I remember my first set up... 75g AGA with and undergravel filter (it was all the rave back then, haha) with penguin powerheads on it, Magnum 350 canister filter and 4x40w NO Fluorescents! I also remember moving on up to PC's thinking they were the bomb digity! I wish the internet was more intune to aguariums back then, could have saved me a lot of money but then again, it was the 90's, haha!

My first was yellow colony polyps (parazoanthus) and we would frag them for friends on occasion cause they were the coolest! I don't remember what I gave for them, but they probably were not cheap!

LOL I remember those days.... Mine was almost the same down to the last drop except my first tank was a 45g. My LFS told me that a cleaner shrimp, many nudibranch's, sea horses, a picasso trigger, and a filefish were all compatible and easy enough for a newb....

LOL, Yea the Xenia was the best thing since sliced bread. But I remember buying a clown fish and a Haitian Anemone after the pet store telling me that clowns host in them all the time. and that my 40w strip light was enough to keep almost any coral in the store. Oh the days. I had a under gravel filter and two HOB filters. And my dream was to be able to afford a skilter filter for the tank. oh the days....
And I too would stare at my two pieces of live rock for hours. looking for the life....

I started with a piece of live rock about the size of your hand and a small bag of live sand in a ten gallon aquairum, set it up on a work bench, all the guys would stare at it for hours watching the feather dusters ans other critters on it, finally had to move it to the house to be able to get some work done. still have it, best ten dollers I every spent, lol
