Hello! So I have a mixed reef, and I'd like to bump up my PAR. It's a standard 120 gallon (with center brace) and it has 2 Kessil 360X's, a radion X15 G6 and a 12 inch AI blade with a few T'5s. I feel like the Kessil isn't getting me the spread like the Radion nor the PAR. Plus, at the end of the day I would like to experiment with periods of higher PAR and see what the effect is. At my MAX intensity phase of the photoperiod the Kessil's are at a 100% so they are doing all they can do and I would like a little more.

I'd like to keep it $400 or so. I seriously considered getting another Radion during the black Friday sale, but I sort of think I can do better. One issues is I only have 5.5 inches of space for the light to pass through (the width of the mounts for the Kessils, which the Radion (light part at least) fits perfectly through.

I see these new options that seem capable, but they are all new to me.

Meridian 11 ($400) (apparently less Watts than the Radion but better PAR and spread?)

The Nicrew either 150 ($319 + controller at $50) - don't know too much about it.

Reefi - serious have thought about this because of the power and spread but it seems almost overkill for my current needs and comes in at $500 (or more once I pay shipping).

Why don’t you grab a couple used XR15 G5? They can be upgraded to G6 if you want down the road and used should hit your budget.

Well, I could have got the G6 on sale for probably about the same without the need to upgrade. I hoping to get something with a little more PAR output. Though, maybe I would need something like the Reefi to accomplish that. Or maybe the Nicrew 200 but now were at $500 or the Mid $400's.

LOL< maybe I I should have just posted the question: "is the Meridian 11 better than the Radion X15 and the Kessil 360X and why :)?"

is it logical that the Nicrew 150 at 150W would be more effective at PAR then then Meridian 11 75 Watts. It is interesting that I think they both suggest areas of 24x24.

Well, looks like I can scratch the Meridian off the list. That $400 is without the power supply. If I was going to totally revamp my lighting it could make sense, but not when I am just trying to replace one small section. Something to consider for sure once I finally ditch the T5's.
