Currently I have a starry blenny and a banggai cardinalfish in my 2 foot 25 gallon tank (innovative marine 25 lagoon). I love both of these fish but they are a little big for my tank and they have become aggressive when I try to add fish.
I want to completely restock this tank, except with really small and peaceful fish since I want to keep some small inverts like penderson cleaners, spotted anemone shrimp, and sexy shrimp.
Right now Im thinking
2x Panamic Barnacle blennies
2x trimma gobies (not sure what kind yet, suggestions are welcome)
I want some fish that are peaceful free swimmers. Obscure fish are fine and welcome, thats kind of what im looking for!

Firefish are out in the open but they seem to just hang in an area rather than swim around. *maybe* a pink streaked wrasse that will spend the day hunting the rocks. It sounds like you're looking for some movement in the tank?

I've considered a pink streak but I think it might kill my feather dusters so I'm not gonna try one.

This seem good?
2x panamic barnacle blenny
2x trimma goby
1x Springeri damselfish
1x Tail spot blenny
1x firefish goby
I know 7 fish in a 25 gallon seems like a lot but barnacle blennies and trimma gobies are extremely small sometimes maxing out at less than an inch. So this seems alright to me, thoughts?

I think it's a good mix. As far as the damsel last, I'd put the Tailspot last. The Damsel, in my experience, is more peaceful.

My possum never ate my feather duster 🤷‍♀️
I have a colony of smaller ones, concerned about them not the large ones.

I love the idea of the barnacle blennies! I was considering doing a group in my biocube! I assume you have barnacle skeletons for them?? They are so cute!

But only critique I have are the two kinds of blennies in that small of a tank, not sure they would like each other. Maybe think about getting rid of the tailspot and doing 3 barnacle blennies??

Possibly, but im not sure it would be an issue. Barnacle blennies are carnivores and won't graze the rocks like other blennies. They also hide in their barnalces/holes instead of perching around the rockwork. So I dont see them competing for space or food, but the thought has definitely crossed my mind.

Hum. I will say every single blenny I have had has lived in the barnacles when they discover them. I had a bi color and lawnmower brawl over one cluster (when I had one at each end of a 6 foot tank) and had to remove one! I would just keep an eye on it since they all seem to love barnacles!
