Many years ago I had a more standard RO/DI system, standard 3-4 vertical cannister's supported by a metal bracket and never had any problems. This time around I've cheaper, more company system and the issue is the email fitting that attached to the tap leaks tremendously. I've added teflon tape, doubled up on washers although where the faucet and plastic threaded fitting meet, even though I've wrenched it down with plumbers grips, still leaks like Niagara Falls.

Any recommendations how I can remedy this? Along with the waste water, this leaks means I'm loosing far too much water. I'm assuming there might be metal female threaded connections but have yet to find one.

Thanks in advance.
