Can I set up a new 100GPD RODI 4 stage system with an E-Chen 204-75GPD Booster Pump?

I know a 100GPD Booster Pump to match the 100GPD RODI system would be ideal but could I use my existing 75GPD booster pump?

Slightly underrated in GPD but still capable of a constant PSI required.

Can it work and what is the worst case scenario?

Thanks all in advance.

If I were you - I would try it - and see the results - If you need to increase your pump - you can do that.
I'm thinking along the same lines too.

Can be done surely but not optimal and not the most efficient way of doing it. I'd think.

Can anyone else add any input please?

^This ^ what do you have to loose?
I have no knowledge of your pump but my RO buddy pump rated 50-100 gpd does fine with a 150 gpd membrane. I can't say it's optimal or efficient but TBH I don't even know how to determine that. I get 0 TDS out at a rate fast enought for my purpose so I roll with it.

I would remember that (perhaps a couple months ago) - there was a huge discussion about whether it's appropriate to just top off your tank with plain tap water.

I'd rather not and won't be using tap water.

I'll be making my own water with this new 100GPD RODI unit.

Was just unsure about the 75GPD booster pump I already have which I plan to use instead of buying another booster pump.

I think it should work as long as the psi pressure is between 65 and 90. You should be good to go.
If you have already tested it, let us know with an update.

Exactly my train of thought.

PSI of 75 to 80 would be ideal i'd assume and have no doubt this could be achieved.

I'll report back when I've tried it out.
