Thanks for the info on the miracle mud. Also surprised that you only change water every other month. Can you share the volume that you change?

Rob, amazing tank, congratulations.

Running the miracle mud, you just get enough to spread it 1" thick on the fuge and then dust some crushed coral over it?

What is your sump design, does the fuge have a bypass to reduce flow velocity through there?

Great work and it would be awesome to see this thing someday if they ever let us out of our houses! I am building a 330g by Crystal Dynamics currently. Mine is a bit different construction though.

Nice video. I run the exact same philosophy and style, but with out the miracle mud! Do you think if you did without it, it would change things tremendously? If so, what do you think the difference, or differences would be?

I read your whole thread and I'm stunned like never before.

You obviously have talent and proven experience, yet you use a certain simplicity for success.

I had a hard time to put my finger on what is your success from what you have described.
Sure it's a combo of everthing you do (eg Miracle Mud), or don't do (eg. Carbon/GGO), and the equipment you have (eg. Calcium Reactor and Lighting). But nothing in Particular spells one factor for success.

You nailed one point loud and clear with proof. LONG TERM "STABILITY" Low or high nutrients, doesn't matter.
Sure Stability helps all corals in general, but Stability is a "Must-Have Requirement" for Happy Sticks!

And Stability has always been my SPS failure since I've always changed things, or reacted to both good and bad sps progress.
After a few months of finally leaving things alone, I see the value of stability.
Your thread just gave me encouragment to clamp down harder and not change anything to keep stable.

Thanks for confirming the benefit of Stability with your amazing results.

Following along.....wishing you continued success.

Hi rob hows tank? I was reading through your tank of the month and you mention that you believe flow to be more important than lighting... why is that? Thanks

Pay attention to the channels, maybe start with a lower % on 1, 2 and 3 and gradually bump it up

Been busy with work, heres an update. Had to raise the cabinets over a foot, so I can sit my skimmer on the counter. Plumbing went great. Just hope the feed line lines up with the pipe on the tank, you'll see what I mean when I being the tank in. Also installed a manifold to feed my Calcium reactor. Also installed my water change line.

What bulk heads did you use to run the pipes through the wall and where can I find those at?

New shots are amazing. I am pretty confident I can achieve this growth in my new build but the speed at which you doing it with all dry rock is something rarely seen! congrats!

I placed them in initially where I wanted them, and I raised the percentages on my Orpheks as my sps grew. But I do have frags rings through out the tank, and place new frags on them. And if they dont like the spot I move them to a new location. Heres a pic of the frag rings.

Where do you get the frag rings or what do u use? Very nice tank by the way
