Rodi psi problems help

I bought a Rodi kit and my psi won't pass 17 how screwed am i

I would check all your housings - filters and membrane. something might now be put together correctly.

Gravity feed spring is the problem

I would check all your connections first. 17 lbs is unheard of. If your using a saddle valve make sure you drove it all the way down and then back out. You can live chat BRS and ask if it will increase your pressure enough to make a big difference.

If you bought a RO/DI with a flush kit (which is worthless but that is another story) is the bypass valve in the closed position? If not you will not build up the pressure you need.

Yes, something is off. At 17psi, your water coming out of your faucets would be a trickle.

I live in the middle of the woods with gravity feed spring lol another friend of mine with one told me to not worry cus he uses 17 on his

The lower the pressure the more inefficient and longer it takes to make pure water, but if your not paying by the gallon it doesn't matter.

From what a friend said it will mess my membrane up to so I bought a booster pump

It will not work. It takes an absolute minimum of about 40 psi under perfect conditions to drive the water through the RO membrane.
