Thought i would share a crazy chalice i have had coloring up nicely for the last 5-6 week's. Thinking of spreading this love around a bit, and make some frag's available. Would like some feedback on this guy. Pic was taken through the glass on bottom of a 125, under ati blue+ uvl super actinic. I'm no camera guy, as you can tell lol. This chalice is just insane imo, and you won't have to pay my morgage to own a frag!! And believe me, it looks better in person!!! Let me know what yaw think.

do we still remember that LE Miami Hurricane chalice is the SAME coral as LE Pumpkin Patch Acanthastrea Rotundaflora? also i think in the Epic "chalice" thread on reefcentral rotundas were regarded as chalices..

First thing I though when I saw it was not a chalice also. I think everyone is right on the ID. FWIW it is still very nice and chalice or not shouldnt matter. Its a beauty.

Huh?? The who said the pumpkin patch was an Acan. I think you are confused.

And that coral looks like an Acan echinata not a rotundoflora.

I agree that the two do not look the same. I also do believe the first one is an acan of some sort. But does it matter it is truly very beautiful. I hope it does well for you. Good luck :)

Here is another frag from SAME COLONY. You guys really think i would try to pass off an acan for a chalice.
