Love MOP, your piece is stunning as well as the other corals.

Going back to check out your lighting fixture. :) Edit, what are you using?

Thank you. Yeah, the MoP has just recently started to look really cool. It's a decent grower too.

I use four Ocean Revive T247s that I've modified to have a different spectrum. I really like them and the price is right. Plus, even though I've had a few things go bad in them (fans and a power supply) customer service is surprisingly good given that they are in China. The lights are pretty simple, so if something goes wrong, they are easy to troubleshoot.

Nice pics! Maybe give them a little more exposure to brighten them up a bit?

Thanks, and you're right. I'd like to get them a bit brighter. I use all LEDs and it's tough to get natural photos. I turn my blues down to 1% and the blue is still over saturated. I put the photos in Lightroom and take out even more blue. I do quite a bit of tweaking in Lightroom with the goal of getting the corals to look like they do in real life.

I'll go back into Lightroom a crank up the exposure and see what you think.

OK, Second shot with more exposure. I may have gone overboard on a few and washed them out a bit.

Awesome photos. But at the moment, I'm actually very impressed with the stand. Gives me hope for my pathetic one, haha.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, but I can't take credit for the stand. I bought the tank and frame of the stand used and hired a woodworker to build the walnut skin for it.

Went to the Cubs game yesterday....got drunk (obviously) and came home. At about 8:00, my ATO tank was dry, so i put the RODI hose in the tank, turned it on.....and fell asleep. Woke up at about 4am and remembered what I had done. Ran downstairs and my sump was nearly full, the skimmer was overflowing.

So I made about 2O gallons to fill the ATO and about another 10 that went into my tank. The output of my ATO hose is lower than the top of the ATO tank, so it just siphoned into the sump.

Salinity was at about 1.024, so everything should be fine. Times like these make me glad a have a big tank. This episode would have nuked many tanks. I guess i should get my drinking under control.

I don't buy coral anymore because my rockwork is full. Here's my newest coral...about 3 month old. Really growing well and I'm starting to see some great colors.

Thanks. The mystery wrasse didn't make it. My other fish bullied him too much. New new fish are planned for this reason.

Yeah, I learned my lesson about drinkin' and reefin'.

If you want to make it big kid you have to be agressive, keep your finger on the pulse, talk to the people, being a news anchor isnt easy. :p
