sea hare

I got a sea hare from the local fish store- they have had it for 6 mos. and it just laid eggs in my tank. Is this a good or bad thing? does it mean it will die soon?

Seahares normal y live for about 1 year so if it was in the lfs for 6 months and it was caught in the wild before that it means it will die soon. If it does die take it out right away idk if it is true but I heard horror story's about a dead Sea hare realising toxins.
