I would love to see everybodies DIY sumps being built and or installed. Different ideas and designs, to the most simple.

That's what I will be working with. A 20L, but it will be to the right of the tank, not under it.

Love the video, I can't wait until I have room to do something like that. It sure makes keeping the display noise down and keep the equipment easy to work on...

I have had a 20Long, 40 Breeder, and will have a 75G sumps. I'll get some more recent pics, but they may be dirty...lol.

Here is my 20 Long with the 10G fuge off the back:

40 breeder pics to come and 75G still needs to be built...

My tank is in storage right now (just built a new house) but when I reset it up the frag area of the sump will be for the ATO water.

I'm too insecure to show mine now. Those are all so nice. But I love seeing them.

Here's our sump, it's 48"L x 24"D x 16"H We are using the bean animal overflow on this new 180gal tank (cycling) The skimmer is DIY by me  the body is 10" cast acrylic tube and stands 28" tall to the top of the cup.
The sump material is 3/8" cast but the sock holder is 3/4", ran out of 3/8"

The fuge area. The DIY media reactor is here temporarily until I can make a stand in the return area to hold 3 DIY media reactors. This area will have cheato and you can see the heaters hanging on the baffle wall, 2x Ebo's 300w
fugearea.jpg

The return area with an adjustable float switch for the ATO with a slosh guard around it. The return is an AMPMaster 3000 Dolphin pump that I have rebuilt by Dolphin.

The return manifold, 1 1/2" pvc w/ 3 John Guest valves for the media reactors and the gate valve for the frag tank (to be plumbed in)

That frothy foam in the skimmer

Looking toward the return end, the heater racks in the fuge area, the probe holders in the skimmer area and the fuge area.

Here's my little 10g sump right before it was installed. The middle section is about to have a nano sol and frag rack sitting over it. The reactor on the right houses my biopellets.
