You can use what ever you want, but if you are using colored fittings, then you will need some extra adapters. From what I have seen, all colored furniture grade PVC is the same... no matter where you get it from. I bought my pipe from BRS, some fittings from Aquarium Speciality(which is branded as BioTek) and other no name fittings from Amazon... they were all the exact same color, shape etc.

For me I am not planning on changing anything. I plan to mirror yours exactly! The colors pop and look great. I was lucky enough that my white Reefer stand is white inside. So happy i purchased it before the change was made.

Thanks man. Really appreciate your help! One other question . Currently I'm using a flexible hose for my return pump and the tank has water . How do I swap over to the manifold without water leaking everywhere ?

Once you shut off your return pump, then the water will stop draining once it breaks syphon. If you have power heads still going in the DT, then it may drip a little out of the drains as the water sloshes around in the DT. I simply used some masking tape and taped a rag around the end while I worked. However, if you are only disconnecting the return, then it should be good to go shorty after the syphon breaks.

I need a little help here and have not had much luck.

I have a 525XL with 2 Radion XR30's and 1 Radion XR15 pro with wide lens in the center all on RMS mounts all Gen3.

I am looking for help with a schedule for my lighting to run with APEX Fusion.

I do not have any corals as of yet but plan on starting with a couple of softies soon. I wont buy any corals until I know what I'm doing with my lighting I see so many people using different settings. I know depending on what you have depends on your setting, however I just want a standard schedule that would work with some soft corals.

I asked on this thread as maybe someone here will the Red Sea reefer model could provide a good schedule with a similar set up.

Thanks for any help

I"m pretty new to reef keeping, so I won't profess to tell you what you should do, but I do have a 525XL.
I currently have Radion XR30 Pro Gen3 on the left and right with a XR30 Gen4 in the middle.
I also own a Radion XR15 Pro Gen3. I've done some PAR measurements using the Neptune PAR meter with all 3 types of lights and I'll list some of my measurements and the current schedule I run in EcoSmart Live so at least you have some ballpark figures to work with.

XR15 100% 12K
Depth Off Center PAR

16" 0" 120/90/85
16" 9" 150/115/110

I hope those readings help a little.
Some of my conclusions were:
1. You have to run the XR15 near 100% to get PAR near the XR30s at 50%.
The Gen4 XR30 has much better light diffusion then the gen3, but that won't apply to your setup.

My current schedule using Ecosmart Live is:

UV/RB/B sliders at 100%, white slider at 10 - 20 %, no reds, no greens with a total max % at 30%.
2 hour ramp in the morning, 2 hours ramp down late evening with 30% max from 2pm to 7pm.
I achieve 50 PAR at gravel level starting at 12pm and go below 50 PAR at 10pm.

I hope some of this will help you.

Tank finally showed up and I clearly see the fittings can't be hard Lined with bulkheads.

So I got a white stand and the inside was black so my OCD made me go buy a roll of white vinyl to wrap all the panels lol
Can see a small panel getting it's covering!

Figured since I'm in no hurry I would hide and tuck as much as I can before dropping the tank on!

Got the reactor plumbed in an area I didn't think it was even possible pretty happy it's all covered and how it came out!
This is the far right compartment!

The skimmer and Rock is well cured for two months awaiting the tank. Have to plumb in all the Sprcturapure top off and Auto water change before the tank goes on the stand!

Got my auto water change and air tube for the top off though the wall and to the mixing station today. Along with a new GFI plug on its own circuit dedicated to the tank.

Could I throw a bit of chaeto in the little part of the sump where the water enters from the display tank, before the filter socks?

Looks like it would work well but havent seen anyone do it so not sure if it would cause any issues

Can't say I've seen it done either but like the idea... Maybe tie it down on a rock to keep it out of the filter sock? I already have some golf ball size pieces in there.

I'm almost at the 6 month mark on my Reefer 250. Things are going well and the tank is settling in. Now only if my Elegance Coral would stop killing my all my snails....
IMG_1482999956.468767.jpg

I just added a 7 gallon refugium yesterday. I had the Reefdreams baffle kit but found that it crowded an already small space.
IMG_1482999982.943566.jpg

Next project will be installing hard plumbing and some reactors (as long as the commander allows it).

Nice set up.
