Ever seen a 10 inch juvenile G. Fimbriatus? Never thought i would!

@littlefoxx @Slocke

Got him in a drilled tub placed in my 210g since he was too small to go in a bigger tank due to the fear of him getting drilled by my wave maker propellers nonetheless going in my overflow box

Let's see how long it takes to get him to eat

Took him 4 days to eat!

Though i did have to move him again since he wasn't coming out

I set up a 10g with the same water as in the 210g (since he was already acclimated to it) and in just a day he was wondering around everywhere

My theory is that he was aware of the 5 other bigger eels in the 210g which made him more nervous

As you can see, I really did try (but failed) to get a pic with all 3 of their heads lined up together... they did NOT want to cooperate today.

I recently had a power outage for 5 days, and these 3 were some of the few survivors. What troopers.

Here are a few pics from tonight. Still haven't managed to get a decent pic of all 3 together.

How is your fimbriated?? Thinking about adding one. Im afraid my little white spot is officially MIA. Super upset, I should have fired up the 15 gallon for him to get a little bigger before adding him. 😔 I had no clue he was going to be so small

He's a model citizen with anything that's obviously too large to swallow. No aggression towards anything else. He will try to steal food from the other eels, but they attempt the same with him. I always tong-feed, and feed heavily before doing any tank maintenance where my fingers need to be in the tank. Extremely high prey drive. At 20" he consumed multiple 6" wrasses, and tried unsuccessfully to consume at 4" clarkii clown (which passed from the injuries). Leaves taller bodied 6"+ fish alone, so did fine with tangs, large angels, puffers, triggers, squirrels, etc.

Currently 24", living with the 24" white eye, the 32" zebra, a 6" picasso trigger, and an 8" panther grouper. I tong feed each eel 2x weekly, and they eat until they refuse food.

Here's my 1st "chestnut" moray. When I got him in November, he was the expected brown color, but he's been gradually turning yellow. He shows no behaviors indicating distress and eats well. It's rare to see him come completely out of a cave, and he usually waits until food is an inch away from his face before grabbing it. It will also occasionally take food away from the other chestnut.

My other chestnut moray has stayed brown, is roughly the same length, and actively roams the tank. It'll chase food aggressively. However it hasn't' added the girth that the first one has since I got them. I still suspect the lighter one may be a viper moray, so watching the ongoing changes between the two has been interesting but frustratingly slow.
