I added a tiny one ages ago, woke up one morning it was gone, suspected it had been blown into the return. Fast forward a month or so and spotted it in amongst my zoas, happy as Larry. Doesn't seem to grow any but not sure if that's due to its neighbours but if it wasn't happy it would move surely?
Terrible phone picture, sorry

Look at him! He’s a beautiful little guy! He’s found a zoa family to snuggle with! I have one that’s on a rock by himself that doesn’t grow either and yet the ones who are with others seem to keep growing, so you got me!

Wow, they look beautiful.

I know very little about Rick flower anemones and not sure I have seen any in real life.

Can anyone direct me to a post or webpage with good info about them?

I am considering an anemone for not clown pair.

Do they move? Do clowns host them? Are they like mini maxis? Are they easier to keep than BTA?

I’ll do some research …
I am a commercial diver. I collect all of my rockanemones off the Florida coast. You can also find them in other locations, but I have had a lot of you tell me about issues with Flowers you buy from other countries.

Let me answer some of your questions:

Rock flower anemones are mobile; they move wherever they please. They prefer low lighting and often settle in the rock bed at the bottom trying to find shade. Some anemones, as you can see in the earlier post, definitely have a mind of their own! I collect them in about 30 feet of water. They like murky waters, and like I mentioned, do not like direct sunlight.

Please note that clownfish do not host these anemones; they are not mini-maxis. Are rock flower anemones easier to keep than bubble tip anemones? I would say they are about the same—both require very low maintenance.

Let me answer some of your questions…

Judy
Coral Monsters in Miami.

I found a new Riccordia spot as well :) I will be posting those on Tuesday or Wednesday once they have settled in their tanks.

I will give my reef2reef retail customers first pick on all the splatters :) Can't wait!!!

Gorgeous Flowers!!!!!! Are any of those from me?

I see 5 that look very familiar.

My favorite flowers are the ones with the blue tentacles. Like true blue.

Alot of splatter in that tank.

I have a feeling my tank is going to end up looking a little like this someday soon.

Mine have been with me 4 years. Couple like the bottom but the big guy likes the very top of the tank.
