Thanks. I got pretty cheap I think too. $50@Instigate That's a sweet rainbow trachyphillia.
How the heck do you get it to look like this? I can dust the beejesus out of mine with reef roids and never see one tentacle. Awesome pic btw.Heres ours. Reef nutrition oyster feast and reef roids get the tentacles out then LRS reef frenzy provides the meaty bits.
These guys like Rods Food...and maybe Cyclopeeze, I cant remember. How the heck do you get it to look like this? I can dust the beejesus out of mine with reef roids and never see one tentacle. Awesome pic btw.
Are there any major differences between foods? I do reef roids twice a week and reef frenzy probably 5 out 7 days. Never do I see this kind of response. I've skipped a week of water changes to let my nitrates increase. As of today nitrates are at 10 ppm. The response you get is still something that eludes me even a year into the hobby. These guys like Rods Food...and maybe Cyclopeeze, I cant remember.
I picked up one just like this the other day for $55, so depending on price inflation on coral in the U.K., that may be a decent price.Lfs has this (picture)
They want £135 for it ,think that works out around $ 145 $150 ...ish lol
It's big
Is that a good price or high
Picture doesn't do it Justice
I agree with @DSC reef about consistent feedings. I couldn't get mine to open up for a few weeks, but once it got accustomed to being fed 2-3 times a week, it opens up easily. I just throw some Coral Frenzy or PE pellets on it and it inflates and ingests them. Are there any major differences between foods? I do reef roids twice a week and reef frenzy probably 5 out 7 days. Wow, you still have Cyclopeeze? That's a precious commodity now. Hold on to it as long as possible. These guys like Rods Food...and maybe Cyclopeeze, I cant remember.
Been using calanus now, seems to work pretty decent, the fish love it.Wow, you still have Cyclopeeze? That's a precious commodity now. Hold on to it as long as possible.
Calanus to stimulate a feeding response? Do they trap and ingest any of it in their mucus?Been using calanus now, seems to work pretty decent, the fish love it.
