What's this coral classed as ?
Does it come under trachyphyllia or just open brain
Got it for £30 looking very sick a couple months ago , lots of target feeding and it seems to be doing well

Classified as trachyphillia. Yours looks to be trachyphillia radiata. Looks very happy. That orange plate is bright enough to provide light for your trachy. ;)

Yes, great color and healthy, surprised it wasn't picked up before I got there. I'll have to get a filtered pic sometime.

There eye catchers for sure. The trachy we have is larger than my palm and it's noticeable from across the room. Nothing like plump trachy's on a bare bottom tank;)

I'm currently transitioning to bare bottom and I like it. No more stirring sand twice a week.

I'm with ya. We will never go back to sand. On our next move I'm gonna paint the underside of the tank white to give the illusion.

I'm doing the exact same thing. I put a white board underneath for now, but when I move I'll paint it white as well.
