shrimp love

Does anyone else have different species shrimp that are infatuated with each other? Or one is infatuated with the other in my case lol. I have had this peppermint shrimp for about a year or so,and he was always hiding. Even when he had a pep shrimp friend he never hung out with him (that one died from a bad molt/powerhead accident:( ). Even when I switched tanks he picked a spot where I never saw him, until I added my cleaner shrimp. Now he is always out near him! He will try to inch over and sit right next to the cleaner and the cleaner is like " woah there buddy, your in my bubble" and will scoot over lol. I just thought it was odd that this shrimp doesn't want to chill with other peps, but is apparently in love with the cleaner.

Sorry, terrible phone pic. I took this right after the cleaner scooted a bit away. I am wondering once the cleaner gets to be full size if the pep will still want to be buddies lol.

Haha for sure! I think he is saving himself for me. Every time I have my hands in the tank he is all over me lol

Cleaner and red blood or fire shrimp are know for that.
They fall in love with your hand.
I have both, 3 of each in the Diesel tank and it's one big race who's hugging the hand first.
Besides they are alk over my other fish if the fish let them.
They say they clean them but I think they do something else.:rolleyes:

I can't and won't joke about this and maybe weird but drop the fire if you want sexy.
So much safer on a survival rate.

I hardly ever see my peppermints but know they have a set of hatchlings every 2 weeks. Tried 2 catch a few this morning but failed.

My skunks let out thousands of baby's ever month about an hour after turning lights out they feed my coral lol. Well they did, now there banished to the sump forever

I have 3 fires and 3 cleaners in a 200G, never had a problem.
Now three in a 45G you called that a love triangle, how about what you call six?

I have the same thing going on in my 40g, My peppermint and cleaner are friends, and both jump on my hand as soon as it is in the tank.
