If you look at the side of the clown you can see what specks all over him. We have diagnosed him with ich and have moved him and the other one to a quarantine tank. Had a coral beauty that died with similar looking stuff but really quickly. The clown has had it for about a week and has been getting treatment in a qt tank with rid-ich plus. 3mL every 24 hours (per instructions). Has been getting more stuff on him which is causing worry.
Any advice to how to better treat/better treatment? Also, if it isn’t ich, what do you think it could be? All help is greatly appreciated!

Other possibilities are Brook or velvet.

Since it's looked like this for a week, if I were in your shoes I would treat the fish with chelated copper + Metroplex in order to cover all the bases. I like copper power personally monitored with a Hanna checker.

Copper + metronidazole will cover ich/velvet/Brook/Uronema.

We don't usually see velvet on clowns but this may be one of those unusual occurrences.

Here is the disease link if you are interested in checking out the diseases that are a possibility here. I am leaning velvet based on description and pics you provided. Brook still remains possible but less likely in this case.

Thank you!! After what you have said and looking closer we are pretty sure it is velvet. Going to treat fast!
