Hi I want to upgrade my 120 gallon 40 sump, does anyone
have experience skimmers ? I would like to use the
ATB 840 cone skimmer
80% SPS
20% chalice
does anyone have any idea of what kind of skimmer I should use ?

shop.reeffiltration.com has some that would work great for it to. and at reasonable prices. beastly skimmer pull some nasty nog

The best skimmer would be the ATB 840 v2 . Performance, customer service, build and ease of use. The bk mini is a nice unit and there are some others that are not bad either. The difference you will see over the top of the line skimmers will use machined parts and better materials. Better pumps and more importantly will be better balanced . The 840 size has been around for a while and they keep improving the skimmer. I have had just about every skimmer brand on the market. You will here many answers here. but not many will be able to back it up with hands on experience.

looks good, looks like the water level is going to be a bit high for it. If you could raise it up and inch or two I think you will be better off.
