Yea i have not a bad setup you should look into something more towards 20g if not a little more just more space gives you a little time to grow out and prep for a big build

Had a brown jelly scare. Wife said he was fine a couple hours before so took him out, I dipped him in some H2O2 and then iodine. After putting him back in I did an idiot move and Turkey basted him to clean him off not realizing the jelly could still be on him (not really likely but a mini heart attack non the less). Did a 50% water change last night and crossed my fingers. Luckily I had @N1tew0lf1212 to walk me through the panic attack lol.

————————-

woke up this morning and he’s got extension of polyps and looks pretty happy again. Wife is on watch duty today.

Looks great! I think small tanks are great due to their ability to be filled out super fast with coral!
I absolutely agree. I’ve got a couple torches coming in and I wanna do a nice zoa garden and mushrooms and fill that out. Might give back the cyphastrea though, I don’t think he’s for me lol

Added some new addition to the tank, a 24K Malaysian Torch with two heads and GSP. After the loss of the last torch to brown jelly, I am nervous about the livelihood of this guy, but fingers crossed this will be a successful coral. I won him in a raffle a week ago, so he was going to be in this tank regardless.

Because I got the torch in the middle of the day, I was able to see the coral open up at their peak today and took pictures (1/25/2023 on first post). The meteor shower cyphastrea was traded for an extremely bright GSP variety that the person dubbed Mountain Dew GSP.

I will be looking for the fluffier "acan lords" soon to fill out that bottom right island as the micromussa are just not to my liking.

Do you dip the torches before adding them? I am about to add a torch to my tank and believe I will dip it using seachem reef dip as the iodine supposedly targets Brown Jelly.
