I came home this afternoon to find this on the glass. Nearby was one of my nassarius snails. I assume they are eggs - that’s a lot of snails! Suggestions? Should I remove them? Thanks for looking.

Snail eggs for sure. I just leave them.... sometimes the fish will nibble them.

My snail eggs usually disappear quickly. Or end up snails. I have a bunch of baby ceriths in the tank now. haha

I guess I will find out how king they’ll last! I don’t know how long they take to hatch. The snail is usually a sand dweller but hasn’t moved far from her clutch of eggs on the glass.

Wow that’s a lot dore sure. I only had a couple of traces, not 10s

She actually laid a few more after I posted. I guess that’s why she was still on the glass. She’s back to the sand now and , so far, the fish don’t seem too interested.

Updating an old thread vs. creating a new!

I didn't see any further posts about what happened back in 2018. Any surviving baby snails? I just had my Nassarius do this for the first time and was curious. I'll post any news/pics should I see any offspring. Right now my tank has only the adult snails I've added.

Azreefkeeper...did you get any babies?
Just has eggs too...i did read female snails can lay eggs that have not been fertilised...obviously these will not hatch....seems a lot of work for no result...poor thing.
