Just got a new snowflake eel 2 days ago and tried feeding it cut up fresh grouper fillet but it isn’t interested at all. Its a decent sized one over a foot long and thick as a thumb. I read they wont eat when new to a tank but the other 2 snowflakes i had before ate the same day i got them. Any other food i can try? Shrimp, clams, cockles, squid. Anything else?

Initially some may have difficulty feeding on dead food, they just don't recognize it as food. I don't hesitate to offer live food, ghost shrimp would be a good offering for a snowflake. After a couple of feedings and a couple/few days of fasting, they are generally agreeable to start taking dead foods. Some times you just have to try different things, octopus and squid will sometimes get a response.

They eat crustaceans in nature. Id try some supermarket shrimp.
