...you miss your kid's graduations (K-12, College, Grad School?) because it was the same day as a "Coral Live Sale."
...you plan your vacation destination based upon the LFS's along the route.
...you are on a 2 year+ waiting list for "the latest" new aquarium product(s).
...you own a special container for transporting fish & frags through airport security.
...you hide your aquarium related purchases from your significant other.
...you know most of the other customers at the LFS by first name and you routinely talk with those people and ask how their corals are doing while you completely forget the names of the rest of the hobbyists' family who are often milling around the same store.
---you read Reef2Reef all day at work checking to find out what is happening in the real world.

Most of the people who saw my tanks in the past usually ended up starting thier own. Just wait 'till they get a look at the 170g fully stocked

I set up an ro for us and the fish. Heather told me to set one up just for the fish. I was using all the water inthe pressure water tank. She got sick of having to wait for water.

People are either a) unimpressed/don't even notice, b) make some comment about my "neat plastic decorations" but that they prefer natural looking tanks, or c) ask if it would be ok for them to stare at it a while.

You might be a saltwater reef hobbyist if...your reef aquarium is larger than your bathtub! I think some of my acquaintances think I'm out of my gourd, but most think it's pretty cool.
One of the nurses saw I was looking at Aqua SD website and thought I was looking at food to order. #reeferlife
