So I'll start at the beginning. I've been keeping SPS for over a year now and have had my ups and downs with success. I have been dealing with on and off growth followed by stn since I have started using an automated doser in January. I have never done any change to rapidly to stress out any of my coral.

Note all acro varients and montia are effected no LPS or softies are.

My current setup is as follows:
72 Bow Front with approx. 100lbs live rock
2 Radion XR-30 G4 Pros set to 75% with a 7 hour white cycle and 9 hour total cycle running SPS AB+
30 gallon sump with eshopps psk-110, refugium with live rock & cheato
GFO reactor with BRS GFO
Chemistry Pure Activated Carbon
MP-10 & MP-40 Non-QD'S set to Reef crest 80% for majority of the day

Feeding
Strained PE Mysis and Reef Gumbo mix once daily
Red Nori twice weekly
Reef Energy A/B Daily
Reef Roids twice weekly

Dosing
RedSea A (Cal) Daily
RedSea B (Alk) Daily
Aquavitro Ions (Mag) As needed
NO3-PO4X Daily

Parameters are as follows and stay stabil besides I used to run NO3 under 1ppm
Alk 8.2 dKh
Cal 430 ppm
Mag 1300 ppm
NO3 5.5 ppm
PO4 .15 ppm can't ever get lower
Salinity 1.025
Potassium 410 ppm
Iodine .06 ppm

Can you post a picture of the tank? I am trying to imagine 100lbs of live rock in a 72g tank.

I could try rowa instead of BRS I use Hanna for alk and phos and pH, use red Sea for all else including Alk and phos as a double check and Reef keeper for pH and temp as well

Maybe you have a pest like AEFW? Or maybe you have too much light? Is the STN at the base of the coral or at the tips?

I would try to use a dip on one of the less beloved affected acropora and see if any pest come off in the dip.

If it is on the tips then I think it could be tip burn from having higher light along with having higher alkalinity. If you turn your light down or lower your coral, and lower your alk just slightly maybe it will stop.

The thing that gets me on that is I the height of my SPS hasn't changed since they were doing good and I have decreased the lighting thinking the same, Alk is already kinda low at 8.2 what would you say to lower to 7.7ish?

In my opinion 8.2 is not that low. I would think 7.7 would be just fine, but I would like other people to chime in on this. I am at 8.5 right now and I have a coral with tip burn and I am in the process right now of letting it drop to 7.0-7.5

This looks more like high nutrients and high organics. I think a mixture of aggressive gac and purigen would take care of the organics and possibly cutting back on coral foods.
