Yea I eventually bought one, after giving up on the idea of using a cloths iron..

I watched a YouTube video of a guy changing an audio IC on a iPhone 6 with a butane torch. the technique is everything. If you are going to replace the board I would harvest the rest of those chips.

I bet with a little practice you could solder those LEDs with one of those. Just have to get the distance figured out.

I have the Quick 861DW as well but there are a ton of hot air rework stations in the $45-60 range on Amazon.
