This system is a brand new design we built in conjunction with our manufacturing partner. , but for this one we’ve been working closely with engineering on the hardware setup, the micro drum, the wiring, and all the small details that matter. On our first attempt we had a few things set up wrong, but now everything is documented and coming together the way it’s supposed to be. We’re ready to go.

The plan is to assemble it and run it as a partial frag system with a platform and a few live fish so we can do a proper long-term test. If anyone has ideas, feedback, or wants to chime in during the testing phase, it would be appreciated. Hope you enjoy the build.

This looks interesting! Is the micro filtration a new concept sir? Pardon my ignorance if it isn't.

Yes, these filters exist in aquaculture and they’ve basically been shrink down to work in home Aquarium systems in the next video. We’re gonna actually show how it works which I just finished and I will link

This is a brief explanation of the micro filter drum system, and hopefully a helpful visual aid for anyone who wants to assemble one of these on their own. The first time I put this thing together, I had it completely wrong. I honestly thought the waste water tank was an ATO. I was leak-testing everything with freshwater and let it run for a few days. One day I heard water hitting the floor in my dining room and couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. I opened the cabinet and it turned out the water was spilling out of that big blue nut on the front of the micro drum module.🤔🤣

I designed the system and the stand, specced everything out, selected the new module, and had to learn it piece by piece. There was no manual. We basically had to write the book on it with a little help from the engineering team.
