SPS with my regal so far seems to have worked, although there is only 1 frag and 1 colony, the frag went in already looking bad however the colony seems to be growing still.
The colony can be seen in the background of ‘Ikea’.

Is that a faint grey tone in your regal’s throat or just the shadow, I assume you got it as a CB looking at the extreme misbar going on?

It is a CB. I didn't notice any grey tone. Hopefully not...
I wonder if any of the CB regals have changed to the Indo yet, and if anyone on here has an indo CB regal.

Finally got a couple more good photos of the regal yesterday :)
I’m thinking a juvenile indian ocean variant.

Just got a slightly better photo of her :)
Please excuse the dirty water - I kicked up detritus whilst introducing GSP.

@i cant think ,
He is a Yellow-chested for sure but Red Sea or Indian Ocean is impossible to tell, IMO, from the look. I dont think there is a different. Some people claim they can tell from the shade of the fish, which I doubt. Love the mis-bar.
Other than the blue chest, the Pacific sub species have boarder black band result in a darker fish over all as they age.
They started the same but as the white can black lines come in, the Pacific sub-species continue to develop while the Yellow-chest variety stop earlier. Result in the Indian Ocean and Red Sea not having blue chest and stay lighter overall.
Below are picture of my Blue-chest (Philippine) and Yellow-chested (Maldive) Regal at about the same size. Notice the width of the yellow is much narrower in the Blue-chested Regal.

I just got a Regal from the LFS yesterday. It ate at the store and it's eating in my tank (both yesterday and today) so I feel like that's a big hurdle already crossed.

My question is, they're not supposed to be active fish are they? Mine just hangs out under the arches of some rock. I don't think it's "hiding" because when it's scared it actually does go to a different enclosed space (and that's where it sleeps). Just kinda chills in one spot. Is this normal? Looks and behaves healthy otherwise.

If he’s brand new you have to give him a chance to get used to his surroundings. After that he will venture out a lot more. They do prefer the rock scape in my experience but still are pretty active. As I said before though give it time to settle in.
