A couple better photos I’ve gotten of this guy - Definitely putting money onto this guy being a Pygoplites diacanthus flavescens. The anal fin is incredibly yellow even with this guy being a juvenile.

hope he is eating well for you and start to heal all those minor wounds.
He eats perfectly for me - The LFS I buy my dream fish from doesn’t sell a fish until it eats vigorously (especially fish like copper bands and regal angels).
As for the wounds, they’re mainly from hierarchal aggression which has all stopped today. So hopefully they do begin to heal nicely.

I’m planning on a pair of regal’s when my new tank is up and running.
Hopefully you do, they’re worth every penny. I got a quick video of mine since she seems to shy away from the photos into the back.

It seems that the cute CBB does not want to lose prominence :D.
He loves being the Center of attention when the camera comes out… Undortunately he may have a competitor for who gets photographed the most.

Here he is feeding, I’d say that’s a vigorous eater what do you think?

He eats well. You got a keeper for sure. My Regal angels actually preferred pellets and flakes rather than frozen. I feed multiple types of food. They also competed with the tangs and eat a lot of Nori too.
I mix in frozen with pellets and flake, she seems to enjoy both but definitely prefers the pellets/flake.

My Regals. Started out tiny, only about 1.25 inches. After growing a bit they are still the size of my male Flame Angel.

They’re beautiful, have you seen any spawning behaviour from them?

Very first pictures of my Regals. They were tiny, smaller than my Percula clown. I put them in my QT system to keep them well fed and growth. It is a very natural system full of fauna and flora. I keep new sensitive fish in this system to get them use to captivity. Clowns are perfect dither fish because clowns are docile and very aggressive eater. Seeing the clowns eat, stimulate my new shy fish to want to eat also.

I unfortunately don’t have a separate tank to acclimate new sensitive fish however when I put them into my reefs (I do have a 3’x16”x1’ reef I was going to maybe grow her out a bit more in) usually my aggressive eaters get the newbies feeding just as aggressively.

Out of all the species of dwarfs, including deepwater and almost / outright unattainable ones, the Flame and Coral Beauty still get top points from me.

There’s a lot of them I like though, with a few exceptions: Flavipectoralis, Vrolikii, Flavicauda / Fisheri, Hotumatua being a few.

It’s hard to find a Centropyge / Paracentropyge I outright dislike.

Deepwater (most common / exclusively found below 20m / 70ft depth):

Multi-Color (C. Multicolor)

Multi-Bar (P. Multifasciata)

Purple Masked (P. Venusta)

Colin’s (C. Colini)

Nahackyi (C. Nahackyi) **

Mauritius Blue (C. Debelius) *

Narcosis (C. Narcosis) *

Abe’s (C. Abei) *

Peppermint (P. Boylei) *

*almost unattainable

** completely unattainable

I finally found a name for her!
I’ve decided she’ll be named Ikea.
The reasons as to why;
She wasn’t cheap…
She wasn’t needed…
But I desperately wanted her.

No. I wish
I think, you still have 2 females.

I have started my second Regal pair, this time with Philippine Regals:

This was the large one shortly after I got him about 3 years ago:

He has started transitioning to male by now: His opercular spine is getting longer and his body is becoming more elongated. (BTW, his fin damage was from the ocellaris I had him with before in a 10 gallon holding tank.)
