Just bought this P. chrysurus today (sorry for the pictures as it is already night time here). It was eating in the store so I bought it. Really wanted one ever since. Question, how long does it take for it to transition to full adult coloration? Looks like it is already in its subadult stage (evidenced by the yellow tail and orangish head). Will take better pics tomorrow.

I have had a juvenile imperator take two years and once had one take only a year. I am sure your Chrysurus will probably be the same with one to two years to make the change. The following is two pictures of one I had as a juvenile in my office, but then sold tank and fish to a friend. He kind of let the tank go downhill.

I had two in my 150G. It worked fine for four months then suddenly one turned maniac and almost killed the other. Now the victim is in my frag tank fully recovered. Other than that it’s a good looking fish and safe with coral.

Golden Dwarf Angel
Picked up this little beauty from a fellow reefer and can't wait to finish acclimating him. Please excuse the crappy pics I'll get better shots once he's out.

Love the inspiration in this thread, especially the pairs. It led me to acquire a pair of venustus angelfish for my 180.

Unfortunately the female died after the first night. Was bullied a little, but overall was very weak.

If a mate dies, will the remaining partner be ok? Or will there be a degree of depression or lack of gusto?

I feel so bad... I want to make sure the male will be ok.thank you!!!

Beautiful angels. How long have you had them together? Any agression amongst each other?

Just an update. My LFS has gotten a shipment of 4 scribbled angels. 2 were sold and only 2 remain. The owner was willing to give the last 2 fish to me since I’m the only one who would take in both. He’ll hold if off until I’m done quaranting my chrysurus (which is 2 weeks from now). Last time I checked, they were both side by side in the store, so they can see each other. Any experience in pairing them? I’ll post a vid of then over the weekend once he sends it to me. Been wanting a scribbled pair ever since!
