Nems respond to both light and water flow. Too bright of light, it will head for shade and too much current, under a rock.No idea. It’s my first one. I was told it may be flow, and I do have some powerheads on the way just in case. I’ll message current USA and see if they can give me tips on the light settings just in case.

If it bites its a female. Females need blood to produce eggs. Male Mosquitoes are pollinators.I didn't pull its legs apart to check to see if it was a he or she.

I agreeLights...my personal observation is that white lights promote growth and blue lights promote color.
Its an educated guessI knew we could count on you.
I hope so but I woudnt count on it. It kills adults but doesn't stop the largest part of population larvae and pupa. The spray is only a contact killer. Its going to have to redone every couple of weeks.nahh ..they brought out the big guns ,and broadcast sprayed with the military planes, here just keep shotgun close ,nail a few of them ,they run
I think they spray with Naled from the planes. It is a contact killer, but only requires like one to two tablespoons per acre - or so I have read anyway. It will knock down the adults and at least give the normal mosquito control a chance to catch up. We are never totally without mosquitos though and that is why I am finally going to screen in my patio.I hope so but I woudnt count on it.
