This weekend I scored big! I traded 10 frags of zoanthids! Yes 10 frags! For this entire setup!

The pics came from before it was actually taken apart and transported. Notice all the hair algae!! Going to cook the rock!

I got this for 13 zoanthid frags

This for 2 zoanthid frags

and last but not least this for 1 zoanthid frag (250w magnetic ballast)

The tank is a Tenecor 96"Lx15"Dx18"T. It has a center overflow with a 2" drain. The tank is in great shape, just acouple scratches that are noticable when filled. It came with over 100lbs of live rock. 3 of the pieces were too large for 5 gallon salt buckts. Just for reference there are only 5 pieces of rock! The return pump is a mag12, and it came with a Euroreef skimmer, a CUC, a niger trigger, coral banned shrimp, 2 48" Coralife PC fixtures, a koraline 3 and 4 power head!

Over all it turned out to be a good weekend! Now to frag some more zoas!

I will be moving at the end of the month and will continue the build thread for this shallow/skinny/LONG "predator reef" at that point in time.

thats a sweet deal but what kind of zoa frags did you trade for the geo calcium reactor?

Blue AOGs
Starfires
Purple hearted emeralds
Goochsters
Happy Samians
PRPE
ATL tripple reds
Bam Bams
LOTRs
Organisms
Pink panthers
Chameleon PEs
AOG

Most frags were around 1-2 polyps each. some of the more commons were around 5 polyps.

Sweet! Tho at first i just thought you were being mean and making fun of me, so i was kinda mad, but then realize you were serious! Awesome deal! I am having to do it this way because my wife has cut off my fish funds!

A month ago i bought a bucket full of GBTA's turned out to be around 18 of them ranging in sizes of a quarter to about 6" for 100.00. I told her how i was going to buy them and then resell them, but i really like how they look in my LPS/Clam tank so i kept them! :)

So needless to say she wasn't happy about that. Especially when i told her now i need about 5-6 RBTA's to go with them! :)

Ya i thought about doing that but was worried about the soap and wax from the car wash. I am sure it would probably be fine, see how you have done it already, but still a bit leary. Other thing i thought about doing was taking it all outside and getting a wire brush and the hose and going to town on it. For now it is down in the basement with a skimmer, powerheads, and lights.

:) No problem! I just got a bit ahead of myself. Sounds like you got a great deal also! Its a great feeling knowing what you are getting and at the same time knowing what you are giving can grow back within weeks!

Will let ya know if i get tired of the BTA's So far i love them! They are like greenery in a vase of flowers thus far! I had the tank looking pretty good, and then added a them and now there is not much rock work left!
