@dantimdad
Why didn't I see this. I read your post years ago. And some othe post from 2015. I got the aqua mars. I know why the eggcrate works now.
I took off the lenses, that left the inner lenses at 90deg. One inch up about the egg rate. Through the deflection. It comes out at about 75deg. I used a wall to measure the degree of angle.
It comes with 60deg lenses you take them off you have the 90deg inner one still on.

Been doing this a while. :D

Okay was a big work day today and got 2 lights done- Mars Aqua and the 70w ASMl-02 from Aquarium System Solution
The Mars aqua shows why it needs some type of diffuser

This little ASML-02 pendant really shocked me-

Great numbers! Out of curiosity, what is the price of the 70w COB?

The Mars aqua needs the lenses removed first. Then play around with diffusers. Maybe that is my part of this. When I come up, I can mod it real quick and we can remeasure?

Whatcha think?

Wow! That is looking like a DIY killer right there.

And you all know how much I love to DIY!

If the spectrum is there, I can't see why this and the K7 wouldn't just kill about every other lighting solution that doesn't need modding.

Hey. It was great to read your research. I met you at coral reef while you where doing your research. Where you able to sell all the lights? My email is [email protected], incase i don't respond back quick.
I haven't tried to sell any of these test lights yet. I am going to have to sell some soon as to have money for more products to test.

These cob leds are fantastic. Seems much better.
Very surprised at what these lights can do.

That little pendant is nice... And the surprises keep coming!
They sure do :)

You can buy them here even tho it is business to business as they will sell to you directly:

To answer your question yes we will do a mod and test again. I look forward to it.

$150 based on my quick search.
Yes but shipping is not cheap around 65-75$ for a couple of lights. Just remember this when ordering any thing from China.

That is how I am looking at it. The K7 to me is the big 3 killer and this little pendent is perfect for those nano tanks that want big bang on a small tank(even tho it will work on other size tanks)

Guy's what I really need to do is sell some of the doubles of these lights off so we can get more. I bought 2 of everything when I began this study for the redundancy in case something failed.
Four lights we need to test:

Ledzeal lights-Zeus and Alpah120 https://www.alibaba.com/product-det...galleryofferlist.normalList.94.2f6f6925cXJRT7
http://www.ledzeal.com/productlist1-1-.html

The bigger ASML-03 from Aquarium Solution -https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/ASML-03-AS-Satellite-Series-LED_60677539847.html?spm=a2700.galleryofferlist.normalList.300.2f6f6925cXJRT7

The smaller evergrow - https://www.alibaba.com/product-det...alleryofferlist.normalList.192.2f6f6925cXJRT7

The Lumini Pixie 150 I have 2 of these so no need in having to buy them.

Pretty cool study you have going! Some very interesting contenders for the price too.

Do you have any plans to test out any DIY fixtures as well? It would be interesting to see how some "Evil Cluster" types of builds stack in comparison. I've got a half-finished build that was intended for a smaller frag setup or 40 Breeder, but it doesn't have lenses due to being intended to hang lower to the tank for LPS, not sure how much it would cost to ship, but once it's finished (not likely all that soon, monetary reasons) I would be interested in loaning it out to you to test if you are interested :)

It all comes down to money to buy these lights so yes I would love to test these.

Thank you! I have not looked into the diy realm yet because of the sheer amount of pre-made lights out there. Once we get to a point that we fell that anymore testing is redundant then it might be time to look at the diy options.
