To my knowledge no wrasses made the list.

It depends on which Coris spp. you're interested in. Which one(s) do you have in mind?

There’s only 4 that really intrigue me;
Venusta (but obviously she remains on a wish list)
Caudimacula
Dorsomacula
Hewettii

Hewettii and Caudimacula are the two that I think I’d most likely grab after seeing some stunning photos of adults.
Here’s just one photo of Caudimacula;

Gaimard is a beauty but like most Coris wrasses, they get on the larger side - The 4 I’m intrigued in seen to remain smaller in the range of 4-8”.
Also just added photos of the two I’m most intrigued in :)

It’s endemic to the Marquesas islands so rather rare in the hobby but stays close in size to the Venusta from what I’ve read.
Photos of it are stunning and I bet it’s even nicer in person.

With todays topic it is the opposite with my gaimard. Its a beautiful juvenile but the adult.

Just found a photo of what I believe to be a mature male resting. If you have the Wrasse Book by Scott W. Michael then a photo of a resting male is in there.

3 of the 4 you're interested in are in the same complex. I don't believe Hewettii is available in the trade due to its isolated location. If you can find a C. caudimacula or C. dorsomacula I think you could keep one for awhile as long as you don't plan on any small timid fish or fairies or flashers :)

Sorry to disappoint you all but I think Coris Hewettii is some bloke who went to NC State university and I doubt he's available for your tanks.

I was too obsessed with the “I” to see that you may have just beaten my ribbon goby…… That is stunning and weird. I want it!!

Anyone here have any success with the Biota cleaner Wrasse’s? Or cleaner wrasse in general? I would love one but have heard they don’t do well but figured the boots would be a better match?

My biota is great and easy. It can annoy fish sometimes but it’s minor.
It is very restless so I still think it’s good to have a lot of fish with it.

Well, some could say my Lubbocki’s are ‘timid’ I personally don’t so maybe a Caudimacula is on the list. A Vivienne is a leopard I’d love but I just don’t want to take the risk so Caudimacula is likely to be the better option.

Not a bad substitute for a jordani. Kind of a blend of jodani and bathyphilus

When I first saw photos of this fish I thought it was the rich man’s naokoae. They’re beautiful but the naokoae beats it for me.
