Thanks. My tank is very open but at the same time full of caves and crevices.I have never seen an FTS of your tank, that is stunning!!
They look to be Splendens! Same complex as the Kaleidos :)I got a pair of this guy. Male and female from LFS. Both were eating well. Here is the male at the LFS.
I think Pseudojuloides kaleidos. Am I right?

Those are beautiful. 3 flames? Will you now have 6?Got good pictures of the pair before they went to bed.
Healthy and fairly fat (not thin anyway). They ate very aggressive at the LFS, both appear to be in perfect health.
My QT system is full to the brim with a harem of (3)Flame Angels, CBB, Percula pair, Blue Throat Fairy and Carpenter Flasher. Of these fishes, I afraid that the Blue Throat going to kill them in a small 40 gal tank. Because of this reason, I acclimated them and let them into my DT. Knowing that they eat well and there are plenty of fauna in my tank, I think they will be OK.
So far, no one in the DT bothers them.

I have a harem of 4 in my DT. Of the harem of 3 in my QT, the two sure female will go to @alton this weekend. He has two pairs in two systems right now. I think he will have two harems of 3, I think. Alton, I and Clayton are hard core reefers. I plan to release the largest of the three into my tank if this fish turn male. If I think it is still a juvenile, I will send her to Alton and keep the smallest one. My system is larger, if he already changed to male, he will need to reverts back to female in my tank. We all (Alton, Clayton and I) suffer from MTS (multi-tank syndrome)Those are beautiful. 3 flames? Will you now have 6?
Looking forward to the thread. There is something about a group of the same species in a tank that looks so natural.I have a harem of 4 in my DT. I was up in Austin this weekend to spend times with two of my sons. On the way back we stop by Austin AquaDome which is in the south end of Austin. Seeing this pair eating well an healthy, I cannot resit getting them, even if my QT is full and they are know to be difficult. There was also a healthy, fat and eating well Macropharyngodon choati. I almost got her. Although her price is very reasonable for the difficult species at $350, she is too rich for my blood so I did not get her.
Wish me luck.
As soon as I see that they will live in my tank, I will start a thread on them. I do think that I must keep them alive first before start this thread. I tried to read more on this species, but here seem to be little information about them (and other Pencil wrasses) other that they are hard to keep.
Yep definitely splendens!Got good pictures of the pair before they went to bed.
